Worked on various projects for the Technical Marketing group including the design and  implementation of a Knowledge Management database for the group’s intranet identity,  evaluate performance of company’s and competitor’s products, and edit/ghost write articles for publication.

Provide engineering and manufacturing consulting services over a series of contracts including DVT, SQA, Manufacturing efficiency.

Explore beauty of the human form, the process of how people make decisions about their lives (concept of uncertainty), and patterns in nature using primarily photographic and digital media, but also sculpture. (see list of shows and awards)
 
2000 - 2006   Catalyst, Eric’s Eclub a business start-up incubator
Created an informal group composed of entrepreneurs, investors and other talented people to discuss business opportunities at an embryonic state. Provided start up and business strategy consulting to over 10 businesses. Successful business ventures that came through the club are:

1999 - 2000     President, Judy’s Candy Company, Berkeley CA
Turn around aging high end candy manufacturing operation of 35 employee’s from 7 years of straight loses to profit in first year by rebuilding the brand name, relocating the factory, and building new sales to national chain stores and distributors.
 
1997 - 1999     Co-founder and President, The Crucible,  Oakland CA
The Crucible is a non profit collaboration between arts, and community that offers arts vocational classes (some college accredited) in a range of areas from metal casting to glass blowing, including jewelry making, robotics, and blacksmithing.  The Crucible now owns its 56,000 foot facility and has taught over 6,000 students.

Managed a team of scientists in the design and optimization of the companies DNA synthesis machines,  designed and built other equipment to automate other DNA manufacturing processes.

Developed and performed mechanical and electrical tests on super-conducting cable for use in super conducting magnets.
