This is a very interesting video for a number of reasons. First it shows the process of how the image of a fashion model is made - starting with the model coming in without make-up and hair and then how the image is ‘edited’ after the actual shot is taken. This would be interesting for anyone creating fashion or portrait images of course because it shows how to do it, but wow it is really interesting how much was changed. Her neck is made longer, the eyes and lips bigger, skin made perfect. She isn’t real anymore even though she looks real. Now I have to check some more fashion photos to see how much the rest have changed. But the big point here is that we the public may have an unreal and unobtainable beauty ideal, and we haven’t even discussed weight yet.
